Mapping different historical points in Pasifika was first part of my doctoral research, a way for me to visualize different kinds of movement through time and the space of our great ocean. Through the 2025 Restorying Pasifika Histories (RPH) series at the Pacific Island Ethnic Art Museum (PIEAM) in Long Beach, California, the map grew exponentially.

This website is the next iteration of Restorying Pasifika Histories. The spiral map continues to be updated as research and time allows (I am still writing my PhD after all!). Future plans include educational video series with modules based on the original RPH talk story sessions at PIEAM and an in-real-life edition of the spiral map.
